Youth Sports

Youth Athletics is dedicated to:

  1. Providing enjoyable recreation programs for children, regardless of athletic ability
  2. Encouraging children to have fun, learn new skills, and feel good about participating in youth sports
  3. Developing self-esteem and good sportsmanship through meaningful and fair sports competition
  4. Providing quality coaches, facilities, and clearly defined standards

Friday Night Lights- Instructional Flag Football Clinic

 Join us under the lights at Liberty Park for football! Com learn the fundamental of flag pulling, passing, running with the ball and kicking. Each week instructors will introduce a new skill followed by scrimmage play. No experience necessary, don'miss out and register today. Starts the end of September. 

Concussion Form- Please complete and bring with you to the first class.

Renton Rookies- Introductory Sports Clinics Ages 3-7 Fall Session

Renton Rookies sports classes are designed for the beginner.  Morning and evening classes are offered at the Highlands Neighborhood Center beginning early October.  Fun is our theme and each week participants will be introduced to new skills, encouraging each participant to learn the very basics.  For a complete list of Rookies programs offered click HERE. IndoorTennis Lessons- Fall 2016

The City of Renton works in cooperation with Aces Tennis to provide a variety of programs year round! Join us this fall indoors at the Highlands Neighborhood Center.  Grab your racquet and joins us today. UK Petite Soccer Clinics- Ages 3 to 9-Fall programs
UK Petite soccer provides a basic introduction to soccer.  UK Petite uses a games based approach to teach children the FUNdamentals of soccer in a high energy, interactive learning environment. Each program runs for one hour, for six weeks.  Each participant will receive a UK Petite T-shirt and a certificate. We have also added UK Elite Feet for ages 6-10 for those who are looking for additional training after UK Petite. For a complete list of programs offered this spring, more information and to register, visit Fee $90.00 per session. 

Youth Cross Country

Join us at Highlands Neighborhood Center for some outdoor running fun! Come learn to enjoy the art of running during this program.  Participants will have the option to compete in meets with neighboring cities.  Meet days will vary.   Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday beginning September 20 from 5:00-6:00pm. Introductory Skills Clinic-Volleyball Grades 3-8 

Bump, set, spike! Discover the joy of volleyball by learning the basic skills.  Each week instructors will introduce a new skill in a non-competitive environment.  If you are looking to learn to play the game or just want to advance your skills, this is a great opportunity.  Register today! 

Saturdays October 1-November 12 $42R/$50NR
Grades 3 to 5 9:00am    Grades 6 to 8 10:15am

Pre-Season Basketball Clinics- Grades 1-9

Join us to sharpen your skills before the season or come check out the clinic to see if you like the game of basketball.  This clinic is designed to teach the kids the fundamentals of basketball. Basketball Clinics Space is limited.  $42R/$50NR.
