Youth Sports

Youth Athletics is dedicated to:

  1. Providing enjoyable recreation programs for children, regardless of athletic ability
  2. Encouraging children to have fun, learn new skills, and feel good about participating in youth sports
  3. Developing self-esteem and good sportsmanship through meaningful and fair sports competition
  4. Providing quality coaches, facilities, and clearly defined standards

ATAVUS Youth Rugby  April 19-May 31 4:30-5:45pm

The City of Renton is pleased to partner with Atavus Rugby to provide camps and classes.  Atavus Rugby has developed a youth curriculum full of games and skills inspired by rugby, leveraging the sport's positive qualities to focus on multiple aspects of your child's physical development and personal growth.  This program requires no experience in rugby. and the skills learned during the programming can be applied to other sports!  Register today for course #58561 Fee $125R/$150NR 


Renton Rookies- Introductory Sports Clinics Ages 3-7 Spring Session

Renton Rookies sports classes are designed for the beginner.  Morning and evening classes are offered at the Highlands Neighborhood Center beginning early October.  Fun is our theme and each week participants will be introduced to new skills, encouraging each participant to learn the very basics.  For a complete list of Rookies programs offered click HERE. Outdoor Tennis Lessons- spring 2017

The City of Renton offers a variety programs year round! As winter comes to a close, join us outside this spring at the Highlands Neighborhood Center tennis courts.  Grab your racquet and joins us today. UK Petite Soccer Clinics- Ages 3 to 9-Winter programs begins mid January
UK Petite soccer provides a basic introduction to soccer.  UK Petite uses a games based approach to teach children the FUNdamentals of soccer in a high energy, interactive learning environment. Each program runs for one hour, for six weeks.  Each participant will receive a UK Petite T-shirt and a certificate. We have also added UK Elite Feet for ages 6-10 for those who are looking for additional training after UK Petite. For a complete list of programs offered this spring, more information and to register, visit Fee $90.00 per session. 

Youth Track and Field- coming spring of 2017

 Join us the spring for a preview at our Spring Break Track Camp April 11-13, 9:00-10:30am.  Dust off your shoes and come try running for fun.  This three day camp will give you a basic introduction to Track & Field.  

Even if you don't try the camp, come run with us and be a part of a team.  The City of Renton track and Team will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning May 16.  Runners will practice on Tuesday and Thursday until meets begin in June.  Participants will have an opportunity to compete against runners of their own age and gender: short distances, sprints, relays, softball throw and running long jump are just a sample.  Register today, space is limited and this program does fill up!
