Michelle is a passionate painter of still life and landscapes in the classical realist tradition.  The subjects for her paintings are the places and things for which she feels a strong connection. She is especially drawn to the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest where she has lived most of her life.

Michelle is an alumnus of the prestigious Gage Academy in Seattle, where she studied with such exceptional artists as John Morra, Anthony Ryder, Juliette Aristides, and Geoffrey Laurence. Prior to attending Gage, she graduated from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, with a major in drawing and minor in metalsmithing. In addition to her studies, Michelle teaches art to both children and adults at the Arts Umbrella in Bothell, WA.
