Arts Events

Arts enthusiasts are increasingly attracted to Renton's thriving arts community.  Nutcracker_SnowWithin Renton there are three facilities for the performing arts providing venues for a regional theatrical company, the youth orchestra, the City Concert Band, the annual Summer Teen Musical, and visiting artists.

Visual arts abound in Renton.  The City has an impressive collection of public art accumulated largely through its One Percent for the Arts program.  The City's history is on display at the Renton History Museum.  And there are many arts organizations and businesses that feature the work of local artists.  View SoCo Culture’s calendar for local and regional art events and opportunities in South King County.

The Renton Municipal Arts Commission strives to create an environment that supports artists in their career development.  Resources for artists include Artist Trust and workshops through the Washington Lawyers for the Arts.
