Development Services - Building
The Building Section coordinates the review of development proposals by City departments and issues all development related permits including signage, plumbing, building, mechanical and electrical. This section also administers the Voice Permits IVR system, an interactive voice response system for inspections. For more information contact a Building Section Representative at (425) 430-7200.
2009 International Codes go into effect on July 1st, 2010. That will be the 2009 IBC, IRC, IMC, UPC, IFC and the 2008 NEC. The 2009 Energy Code adoption is on hold until 4/1/2011 at this time.
