Project Description

116th Avenue SE is a primary north-south arterial in the Benson Hill area and has two travel lanes and a left-turn pocket at the SE Petrovitsky Road intersection. It connects residential neighbors to Cascade Village, Cascade and Benson Hill Elementary Schools, the post office, recreational activities, retail and restaurant services.

The project will complete the missing link sidewalk to the existing sidewalks to improve the non-motorized safety and environment along the east side of 116th Avenue SE. This will construct approximately 1,200 LF of curb, gutter, and sidewalk north of SE Petrovitsky Road intersection. The project will also include storm drainage improvements, a planter swale, HMA pavement construction, driveway grading, surface restoration, and pavement striping.

Project Schedule

The 116th Avenue SE Sidewalk Project began construction on October 19, 2016, with a total of 45 working days at the beginning to physically complete the project.
