Renton is a Leader in King County.

The fourth largest city in King County and the 8th largest in Washington, Renton is taking its place as a dominant player in economic activity in the Puget Sound region.  Tax rates in the City of Renton are less than other large cities in King County.  In the bar chart below, taxes and rates are presented as a comparison to six other cities in King County.  The taxes and fees included are City property tax, library and fire district taxes/fees, stormwater, water, solid waste, and waste water taxes and rates.  There are also three tables below that present rankings of the top ten cities in King County in population, assessed value of real property, and taxable retail sales.  In total assessed value of real property the City of Renton ranks fourth in King County.  The City is also fourth in the county for taxable retail sales.
